Hazardous Material and Safety Training Services

A variety of federal, state, and local regulations govern the field of hazardous materials and safety management. These laws contain specific requirements for the training of health and environmental professionals, as well as workers who may be exposed to hazardous materials.

The Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requires that workers who are conducting asbestos inspection or removal operations at our nation’s schools receive initial training and annual refresher training.  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) under its Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) requires that all workers exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace be trained about the health effects of those substances.  OSHA also has mandated training for all workers involved in the inspection and cleanup of hazardous wastes under (29 CFR 1910.120).
